James Freeman coverage. Man who shot at police was acquitted on all charges. The Jury determined that the man fired in self defense, as the police rolled down the street in an unmarked van shooting projectiles at random people as they passed. The man didn't get of scott free though. The police delivered a brutal beating to the man as he lay on the ground, arms out surrendering. To date, none of the officers engaged in the gang activity of drive by shooting and beating surrendering suspects have been charged with any crimes.
