Superintendent Brown Chicago's New top cop took the brunt of the blame from the woman who was all smiles just a few weeks ago while introducing him to Chicagoans. 100 desk officers have been pulled and put on the street, and others have had their days off canceled. As Superintendent Brown looks to stem the flow of finger pointing by employing tactics of his officers being as visible as possible this weekend. Hoping that the scientific law that presence dissuades crime holds true, if for no other reason than his reputation.
The Mayor, Lori Lightfoot who never misses an opportunity to yell at Chicagoans for violating social distancing orders. Must of gotten a dose of reality when a viral video cameout of Englewoods South Side neighborhood of Officers breaking up a party. While the scene started looking like it could take a turn towards a riot. It was hard to pick out in the sea of police uniforms ANYONE with a face mask on? Even though they have been mandatory per the Governors executive order since May 1st. I have repeatedly talked about how dare they try and enforce orders they themselves are not obeying. I guess thats all it took for the Mayor to realize none of her Cops were following the rules because I've seen well over 50 officers in 45 minutes and only 2 detectives were not wearing them. Atleast she's paying attention. 🙄
