I didn't know what any of this meant at this time as a kid though? One winter morning at about 6:30am I was leaving my house to go to school and about 25 FBI agents were raiding the Club, it was 6:30 am on a weekday in the winter and the place was packed with the guys I always saw there. When the Indictment's for the Family Secrets Trial came down Nouch's brother Joey got tipped off. At this point Joey was considered the Boss or the Underboss, of the entire Outfit, you Could trace back just a handful of people from Joey and you would end up at Al Capone. He was gone for about 8 months 9 months as one of the FBI's most wanted, but he got a toothache and who do you think he called? Remember Frank said in the interview that the toughest Spilotro brother was actually Dr. Pat Spilotro. Well Dr. Pat isn't a medical Dr., he's a dentist, with an office close to my neighborhood. Joey called the brother of the men who are two of the murders in the indictment that he is running from? Joey knew Dr. Pat knew Joey was one of the men to kill his brothers, how...... BECAUSE JOEY TOLD HIM! Dr Pat asked and Joey Lombardo said "When your given an order you do it, or they do you." Thats how mixed up and crazy that life is. How family and life long friends as well as people you may have murdered were all knotted together. Mr. Lombardo took UNBELIEVABLE steps to stay free and was beating the FBI at it, he wouldn't just go to the dentist because he couldnt take the pain. He didn't think for a second Dr. Pat would say anything, I mean it's not like the Dr knew where Joey was staying I'm sure he took some precautions, but at this point the FBI didnt even think Joey was in the U.S., and you know where they caught him, where he was staying? 4 blocks away from my familys home! He hid out in Elmwood Park!
