The sad truth is this, we as a society started out pooling our money together. We created a government to handle our basic needs. Water, Schooling, Policing. They were trained, equipped, all paid for by us. We decide to be a republic a system in which WE elect officials to vote on our issues, rather than a democracy where the people vote on the issues. All of this was set up with one sole purpose. To serve us, the people! In 2020 the people we pay train and equip use all those things against us instead of for us. Policing was never meant to be a revenue generating business. Public servants are people who serve the public uphold our rights, but the ideology has been replaced. Public servants have been replaced with law enforcement who's main goal is to watch us, wait for us to break the most begnin law so they can charge us. They took our money and affixed camera's with the ability to catch red light and speeding violations. Then changed the laws so the cars not the drivers got the tickets. So they can generate passive income 24/7 365. The people we elect have no time for us. I for one don't care if you like or don't like to be filmed. Your preferences don't concern me. We were supposed to be ruled by the rule of law, but we are ruled by the whim of the authority figure we are dealing with. The system is broken, and the federal consent decree has shown to have no teeth and no reach. COPA Civillan Office Of Police Accountability is a smoke screen filled with former prosecutor's who make excuses for the Police, when there job is to investigate.(In reference to a detainee who had to go to the hospital after being an interrogated) The COPA inspector told the mans family "sometimes Police can get a little rough." No, no actually they can't. They can't get rough, they can't lay a finger on him in a controlled environment that you have custody over, but the Civilian Office of Police Accountability, the people that are suppose to make sure the police are held responsible, are under the impression they can. So history will repeat itself and COPA will be replaced by anoter acronym promising to bring change. Promising not to falter in all the places Copa already has.
