Cartoon Network Saturday Morning Cartoons | 1997 | Full Episodes with Commercials

Hop out of bed, pour yourself a heaping bowl of sugar-coated cereal, and plop right down in front of incandescent glow of the idiot box, because we're going to watch Saturday morning cartoons on the best place for cartoons, Cartoon Network.

This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from shows that played on Saturday mornings (from 7 in the morning to noon) on Cartoon Network in the late 1990's. It is based off schedules from the year 1997 for Cartoon Network Saturday mornings. Certain shows (like The Snorks, The Addams Family, and Jetsons to name a few) can't be used for copyright reasons. These shows were substituted with other great cartoons and shows that played on Cartoon Network around the same time. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg Saturday morning broadcast.

This is the twenty-ninth Saturday morning cartoon compilation video I've uploaded, and the seventh video on a cable television network. This is also the third video I've made on Cartoon Network (with the other two being Toonami-focused). I think there's a certain charm to this older "Checkerboard era" Cartoon Network where, instead of showing entirely original series, they mostly aired old cartoons. I know a lot of people love those original cartoons -- and I do, too -- but I think it's cool to also chill out to some older cartoons. There are definitely some good shows in this line-up, like Cartoon Planet and Josie and the Pussycats. I hope you enjoy this video just as much as I did putting it together.
