Basement Design Ideas from Lowe's Creative Ideas

This dated basement started its makeover with new drywall and a fresh coat of paint. Jeni added faux stone and a mantle to the fireplace. To hide the flat screen tv, she created sliding artwork on a track.

Jeni also created a table for the bar out of hollow core doors and faux wood laminate. The same process was used to create a simple stacking coffee table.

Create fun, easy artwork by cutting dowels at different angles, sizes and lengths to create faux branches to hang on the wall. Create leaves from plastic flashing and mix colors of spray paint to make a beautiful natural-looking finish.
